What is a Vice President Mechanical Construction Job Description?
Primary responsibility: Managing revenue, project delivery, order execution, and personnel for a mechanical, HVAC and plumbing contractor
Requirements:
• Journeyman/ Master Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing licenses or BS Mechanical Eng
• Mechanical expertise required, experience
• Minimum 10 years project manager experience in the mechanical industry.
• Experience in assisting in management and coordination direct hire and multiple subcontractors
• Experience performing take offs for Mechanical/HVAC/Plumbing trade
• Computer expertise with estimating & scheduling systems
• Familiarity with construction means and methods
• Good understanding of principles, methods, and techniques of mechanical, architectural, civil, and electrical engineering
• Good oral and written communications skills
Duties:
• The ability to developed clients in the Nevada market place.
• The ability to maintain and grow the company as well as personnel in a mechanical construction environment.
• Determine existing conditions, develop client needs in detail, and develop preliminary approximations of types of materials to be used.
• Oversee estimates for each job order based on technical specifications and drawings or sketches; where feasible provide possible value engineering suggestions.
• Identify all work items on each job order and estimate quantities of each item.
• Develop pricing for non-scheduled line items.
• Evaluate proposals from vendors and/or subcontractors for compliance with scope of work
