Manages and oversees the estimating department. Ensures bids are accurate and estimates quantities of material to purchase. May be responsible for the training and staffing of estimating department. May require a bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of experience in the field. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Manages a staff and typically reports to a senior manager.
