Job Description
Duties:
Reviews construction documents and inspection testing procedures prior to and during the construction phase to reduce day to day costs of inspection and testing services.
Works with project teams and regulatory agencies to resolve permitting/field interpretations that may delay schedules and increase financial burden.
Manages employed and contracted Inspectors of Record to ensure all construction complies with the contract documents and state and local regulatory codes.
Participates on committees with regulatory agencies to ensure state and local regulations are created, revised and enforced.
Manages Inspection Services department to provide services at competitive rates.
Identifies and implements new practices which improve service and lower costs.
Audits testing laboratories and consultants performance to ensure compliance with contract standards.
Provides continuous feedback to National Facilities Services to improve future design and construction standards.
Consistently supports compliance and the Principles of Responsibility by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements (if applicable)
In addition to defined technical requirements, accountable for consistently demonstrating service behaviors and principles.
