Responsibilities include assisting in the pre-development phase of a project by participating in due diligence and constructability of the project. The qualified candidate will perform conceptual estimates on preliminary design documents and/or written narratives to determine the viability of the project relative to cost. Must be willing to travel. Essential duties/responsibilities: *Participate in preparing responses to RFP's and portfolio developments *Assist in the conceptual design of potential development projects *Estimate the costs relative to affordability of potential development projects *Strong commercial construction background such as student housing, military housing, multifamily, hotels, etc. *Extensive experience in pre-development/pre-construction *Conceptual estimating *Cost analysis/establish budget *Develop/maintain historical cost database by region and by building type *Detailed takeoff and costing *Value engineering *Constructability review Education: *B.S. degree at a four year college or university *Minimum of 10 years of construction experience At Place Properties we look forward to.
