Position Description: Candidate will be responsible for overseeing all field operations, including project managers and superintendents and field personnel. Project delivery includes both design build and plans & specs work on multimillion dollar commercial buildings. The candidate will supervise and hire project management & superintendent staff, and manage all operations, excluding estimating and business development.

Position Requirements: Candidate must have 10 to 15 years operations experience with a major electrical contractor (union or open shop) working on large commercial building projects. The candidate currently serves in the role of operations manager, vice president of operations or divisional manager, and has managed at project managers. Position requires strength in people management, trouble shooting operations, systems and reports. Candidate should have "hands on" technical expertise in all aspects of project management, and willing to function as a "hands on" manager- lead by doing. Candidate will need to provide regular reporting on project status to upper management, provide coaching and leadership to multiple project managers and superintendents with various stages of experience, show good follow through on promises made to upper management and staff, and maintain an open style of communication. Candidate must be willing to work in a demanding growth environment with corresponding challenges, committed to quality control and be performance "results" oriented. Candidate should have a stable, mature personality (not prone to impulsive or erratic behavior), and able to operate with little supervision. Candidate should have a high level of energy, enthusiasm and a stable job history with a major electrical contractor. Candidate should also maintain and improve positive cash flow/education/training/pre-fab.
