Develop maintenance and repair programs that improve operational efficiency and decrease both downtime and repair costs. Experience encompasses plumbing, electrical, power supply and electro-mechanical technologies.
Special knowledge of OSHA and rules regarding safety in the workplace as well as asbestos. Removal and handling of Hazardous Materials.
Employment Highlights 06/08-08/08Courtyard by Marriott, San Diego. California Chief Engineer-Responsible for the maintenance and repair of a 248 room hotel. Including a restaurant, kitchen, meeting room and laundry equipment. Responsible for assigning work orders and projects to 5 maintenance engineers: order parts and supplies and contracting outside service as needed.
6/07-02/08Classic Residence by Hyatt La Jolla, California Director of Engineering- Responsible for maintenance and repair of 219 apartments, two restaurants and a care center facility. Including 2000 square feet of meeting room space. Supervise and schedule a crew of 8 engineers and an administrative assistant. Schedule mechanical and apartment preventative maintenance.
02/05-06/07Hotel Solamar, San Diego California Chief Engineer-Responsible for the maintenance and repair of a 210 room hotel. Including a restaurant, two kitchens, a three story parking structure and about 10,000 square feet of meeting room space. Effectively and efficiently working with budget guidelines. Assigning work duties to the Engineering staff, ordering maintenance supplies, contracting outside service as needed. Was part of the pre-opening team.
09/04-02/05Hilton Harbor Island, San Diego California Chief Engineer-Responsible for the repair, maintenance and operation of a 211 room hotel. Including a pool ,sauna and spa, fitness center, restaurant, kitchen and laundry equipment. Daily scheduling of work orders, projects, and preventative maintenance of guest rooms and mechanical equipment.
10/99-09/04Four Points Sheraton, Rancho Bernardo Chief Engineer-Responsible for maintaining all 214 guest rooms including mechanical and electrical equipment, HVAC and refrigeration system, ordering maintenance supplies , contracting outside service as needed. Involved in the complete renovation of the property. Due to a flag change from Doubletree Club Hotel to Four Points Sheraton.
02/99-10/99Del Mar Hilton, Del Mar California Lead Engineer-Responsible for maintaining 250 room hotel, onerestaurant, kitchen, pool and spa, laundry equipment and 12,000 square feet of meeting room space. Responsible for the daily scheduling of work orders and preventative maintenance of guestrooms and mechanical equipment. Supervised a team of six maintenance engineers.
02/93-05/96Premier Food Services, San Diego California Maintenance Supervisor-Responsible for the maintenance and repair of HVAC and kitchen equipment utilized at the Sports Arena as well as at six other locations. Supervise and schedule staff, purchase tools and repair parts, supervise subcontractors and outside repair personnel.
02/90-09/90 Marriott Suites, San Diego California HVAC Technician-Responsible for the preventative maintenance and repairs of all mechanical equipment on property. Such as air handlers, chillers, exhaust fans, energy management systems, kitchen and restaurant equipment. Was part of the pre-opening team.

Was involved in two renovations during my tenure at the property.
