CAREER OVERVIEW
Independent Contractor 2008 to 2009. Negotiated contract with Avanti Manufacturing to build out offices and install machinery. Acted as project manager/field superintendent, completing $1.6M project successfully. Vice President of Operations, Matteson-Hudson Construction Company ($12M commercial construction firm) 1993 to 2008. Promoted to lead all day to day operations with permanent staff of 12 and up to 80 more per individual project. Wrote all contracts with clients and subcontractors. Functioned as lead project manager, lead estimator, jobsite problem solver, and final decision maker on placement of manpower.
Project Manager / Estimator, Matteson-Hudson Construction Company 1990 to 1993. Promoted to create all estimates on construction projects and be responsible for purchasing materials, hiring subcontractors, ensuring quality and production control, and building client relations.
Field Superintendent, Matteson-Hudson Construction Company 1987 to 1990. Directed all field work and construction of new buildings from the ground up. Managed up to 30 employees on given projects.
Contractor, PJs Construction 1982 to 1987. Transitioned from doing residential additions and remodeling to commercial remodeling to specializing in concrete structures.
