KB HOMES, Mid-Atlantic Division, Norfolk, Virginia
Navy Housing Superintendent (3/07-2/10): Managed construction of three residential developments under contract with the US Navy to build private homes valued up to $400 thousand each and ranging in size to 3750sf. Handled full-charge responsibilities for all facets of projects from initial planning to walk-through inspections and acceptance, coordinating an average of 65 simultaneous projects at any given time. Constructed 250+ private homes since start of tenure. Responsible for all aspects of costing, work-in-process monitoring, subcontractor solicitation and monitoring, and continuous quality control of not only projects in process, but anticipated. Provided initial site walks after Requests For Proposal (RFP) and acquired, assessed a minimum of 3 quotes from each trade. Supervised and coordinated with a team of superintendents tasked with on-site control of projects.
