Key Achievements:

Initiated a complete Lighting Retrofit plan for our DC Distribution Center which resulted in a 1.3 year payback with Green energy savings of $179,000 every year thereafter!
In seeking maximum efficiency and high pay off for our stores, responsible for the implementation of two Green energy savings retrofit programs which included a Lighting Retrofit and an HVAC replacement program. The initial stores selected for the Lighting Retrofit program resulted in an estimated $75,000 Green energy savings per year upon completion.
The Lighting Retrofit program was negotiated as a full turn key program providing a 6 year warranty by the installing vendor as long as we agreed to a lamp replacement at the 3 year anniversary (all lamps, ballasts and labor included in warranty)
Bulb Contract Negotiations resulting in $111,000 savings annually.
Ability to develop effective systems such as the implementation of a new portion of our store maintenance system where the stores were able to put work orders in directly through their register systems. This resulted in real time turn around with work orders. The stores were then able to see which vendor was dispatched as well as the expected time of arrival. Once a work order was opened both the store as well as the District Manager were able to view the work order and email with any updates, such as status and/or contractor part arrival, therefore improving communication at both store and corporate levels. System was also able to track and report all store repairs and expenses.
Negotiated a new national contract for annual life safety services for our stores. This contract resulted in $47,000 annual savings.
In 2008 my team decreased avoidable costs to department by $10,000 from the previous year. This was done by walking store managers through a list of questioning to make sure that a service call to location was necessary or not.
Negotiation of a 3% pay back with our lock/door vendor for any spending over $250,000 per year for both Facilities and Purchasing Departments. This resulted in an annual rebate check in the area of $7,000 which was then credited back to the departments.

Managed over 1,000 retail store locations in a Fortune 500 Company (Nationwide as well as PR and Guam)
Provided focused leadership and direction for direct reports to continuously improve the standards for maintaining companys nationwide facilities
