President Beers Architects + Planners, Inc. and BDG Construction, Inc.
In charge of all operations and business development for this full service architectural design and planning firm and the design/build construction services and administration. Handle sales, marketing, client relations, project budgeting, and established operational standards. Direct a total staff of 14 and 8 in managing projects from $350K to $28M. Creative force for all designs, and high level project management from planning and zoning entitlement, through construction process. Establish policies and procedures with a phased approach to all work. Served as Architect of Record, performing design of buildings and sites, and conducting all appropriate due diligence.
Instrumental in developing almost $50M in project work since 2006.
Key negotiator in obtaining land $2.7M below asking price.
Saved $1.1M in specific project construction costs and increased value by $1.1M.

Served as Architect and Designer for $115M 850K SF Tellabs Corporate Headquarters.
Created and coordinated numerous design build projects ranging from auto dealerships, office buildings, industrial, retail, and recreation support facilities with project values in excess of$ 30M.

Managed all phases of a project in a multi-point phased coordination approach with consultants and in house staff. Performed field coordination with construction observation of both the architectural design and planning efforts as part of the companys design/build project delivery process. Projects ranged from $2.3M to $90M.
Developed winning design for $45M Xavier University Gallagher Student Center.
Designed and planned approximately 60 buildings/sites a year with approximately 25-30 building constructed.
Created uniform design standards to allow for effective communication within all disciplines.
