Overview
I have over 40 years of experience in the construction industry. My extensive experience includes having worked in roles ranging from apprenticeships and journeyman status as carpenter, plumber, electrician, and heavy equipment operator. I have performed my own carpentry, electrical and plumbing as well as most of the excavations on many of my earliest projects. I started my own general contracting company, finding money for and designing many of these projects myself. Managing the day-to-day operations as-well-as organizing a variety of very large, public/private projects, many with multi-million dollar budgets. I have experience in the fields of construction management, schedule and budget management as an owners representative, managing personnel, delegation, mentoring. I have performed the tasks of processing daily paperwork, claims management and project staffing. As a professional Construction manager, I have developed and honed excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have a proven track record of bringing projects in on time and on (or under) budget. In over 20 years of managing projects for owners, I never completed a job with a claim against the owner.

Jimale Technical Services (Seattle, WA) - Sr. Construction Manager/Business Development.
I developed a Construction Management division within this (primarily) administrative field service provider. JTS is a MW/DBE firm within the Hub Zone of Seattles South Side. My responsibilities included developing a group of CMs to oversee the construction of several street/utility re-alignment and improvement projects for the City of Seattle. I actively marketed and created new markets and customers for this small DBE firm. I was responsible for the CMs day-to-day reporting, inspection reports, construction cost projections, schedule review using P-3 and Sure-Track software. I was actively involved in the negotiations for some of the larger construction change proposals, processing and answering many technical and non-technical RFIs and worked to resolve all technical RFIs with the design professional. I also provided management oversight of the daily activities of contractors on 5 road and utility improvement projects, and oversaw the activities of my field personnel. My greatest accomplishment was that I was able to nearly double the monthly income for this small firm.

Harris and Associates (Concord, CA/Bellevue, WA) Construction Manager/Resident Engineer. I managed several large vertical construction projects as well as various roadway improvement projects in the Pacific Northwest. I was responsible for the day-to-day reporting, daily inspection reports, construction cost projections, schedule review using P-3 and SureTrak software, negotiating construction change proposals, processing and answering all non-technical RFIs, and working with design professionals to resolve all technical RFIs. I Provided oversight of daily activities of the general contractors.

Plethora, Inc. (Spokane, WA). Owner/President/Construction Manager. (20 years) I started this LLC to provide owners' representation on projects that ranged from hospital additions and remodels to industrial complexes, schools (new and remodel/additions), financial institutions, tenant improvements, and correctional facilities. Created budgets, schedules and performed document review during the construction document creation and design phases, provided on-site project management and worked to create safety programs for a number of contractors. I sold this firm in 1997.
