Professional Experience
2000 to 2009:Erickson Retirement Communities. Senior Director of Development.
Led multi- site, multi-disciplinary teams to develop large scale Continuing Care Retirement Communities (CCRC's). The CCRC's included independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing units. Amenities included banks, restaurants, convenience stores, fitness centers, indoor pools, 250 seat multi-faith chapel, 250 seat performing art center, medical center for six physicians and staff, TV studio, beauty salons, and office space.
2000-2009:Pompton Plains, NJ. Designed, entitled, and completed construction of a $350 million, 2.2 million SF, 1760 unit CCRC, delivering the project on time and within budget.
2005-2009:Led land acquisition teams in New Jersey, Westchester County, Long Island, and Connecticut.
2007-2008:Columbus, Ohio. Managed design and preconstruction for a $320 million, 2.1 million SF, 1750 unit community on time and within the design budget.
2007-2008:Charlotte, NC. Managed design and preconstruction for a $250 million, 1.5 million SF, 1350 unit community.
2008-2009:Atlanta, GA. Master planned and obtained re-zoning for a $350 million, 2.35 million SF, 1800 unit community.
1999 to 2000:Woodmont Properties, Parsippany, NJ. Director of Operations.
Managed the multi-site site development and building construction of four high end, semi-custom residential communities and an office warehouse building. Managed preconstruction, estimating, budgeting, bidding, subcontractor selection, and project managers.
1995 to 1999: Mark Hunter Group. General Contractors, Construction Managers. President
Provided general contracting and construction management services for developers and owners including estimating services, construction of new and renovated restaurants, interior fit-out for mid-rise apartment re-hab projects, and the design and construction of office and high end residential renovations.
1992 to 1995:DKM Properties, Lawrenceville, NJ. Project Manager.
Managed the site development & building construction of a high end, semi-custom, 475 unit golf course community and 17,000 SF club house; and the construction of 320 modular affordable housing units for the Newark Housing Authority.
1990 to 1992:Mark Hunter Group. General Contractors, Construction Managers. President
Provided general contracting and construction management services for the design and construction of office and high end residential renovations.
1985 to 1990:CBS Builders, Wayne, NJ. Director of Operations.
Managed the multi-site site development and building construction for this start up home building company. Developed all pre-construction, construction management and procurement systems, as well as selecting, leading, and mentoring the construction staff to construct five residential projects totaling 350 semi-custom homes.
1980 to 1985:US Homes, New Jersey and Atlanta Divisions. Construction Manager.
Led teams of construction superintendents to construct over 1,200 first time homeowner and active adult residential units including:
New Jersey Division: 600 unit single family project, a 240 unit townhouse project, and an active adult project.
Atlanta Division: Two single family, two townhouse, and two condominium projects consisting of over 400 units.
