AMI Hospitality Inc specializes in the design and supply of millwork, casework, interior glass, doors, frames and hardware for the hospitality and federal government sectors. Peregrine Installation Co installed the product supplied by AMI Hospitality Inc.

Senior Project Manager

In November 2009 promoted to Senior Project Manager with responsibility for all company wide operations in the United States. Reported directly to the President of the company and held full profit and loss accountability for all contracts. In this position, I accomplished the following:

       Consolidated the companys operations by combining the estimating and project management teams into a single operations group. This eliminated departmental barriers, improved communication, reduced direct overhead and resulted in efficiencies

       Developed and implemented Standard Operational Procedures for the Estimating, Project Management and Field Teams

       Implemented monthly project meetings with all Project Managers to review the status of each project, to manage billings and cash flow requirements and to manage risk on behalf of the company

In April 2009 assigned to lead the AMI and Peregrines Project team and its $30 million portfolio of contracts at the MGM City Center Project. In this position, I accomplished the following:

       Stabilized a fragmented company presence across thirteen separate contracts and three general contractors (Tishman, Perini and Burke) by establishing weekly project team meetings to focus the companys resources and addressed critical tasks quickly and efficiently. The overall portfolio of contracts were returned to profitability by aggressive buyouts and by bringing installation contracts back in-house

Project Manager

In September 2007 assigned to the Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino Project. Responsible for the $40 million portfolio of contracts and the site based project team. In this position, I accomplished the following:

       Successfully managed the growth of a base contract value of $12 million in September 2007 to $40 million by December 2008 by leading a multi-disciplined team of Project Managers, Support Staff, CAD and Field employees. 

       Sourced $15 million worth of product from China and delivered it to the jobsite on time and under budget.  This achieved by implementing formal weekly design and manufacturing meetings with AMIs Chinese based office and by rolling out a detailed logistics and shipping plan to ensure all deliverables were met on time and under budget

KALAMAZOO SECURITY PRINT LTD, Birmingham, UK                                                                                       2005-2007

Bid Manager

Kalamazoo Security Print Ltd specializes in the design, manufacture and supply of high security paper documents such as checks, ballot papers and corporate bonds

Responsible for developing a formal companywide approach to bidding and winning new contracts. In this position, I accomplished the following:

       Streamlined three separate product teams into one operational team and led the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures. This resulted in a reduction of overhead and eliminated the duplication of effort

       Successfully negotiated a new 3 year multi-million dollar contract with HSBC Bank Plc

DURR SYSTEMS INC, Plymouth - Michigan, USA and Warwick, England - UK                                                                      1996-2005

Project Manager

Durr Systems Inc and Durr Ltd are the world leaders in the turnkey supplier of paintshop facilities for the automotive and aeronautical industries. Typical clients include Ford, GM, Airbus and Boeing

Promoted to Project Manager in 2003 with responsibilities for managing multi-disciplined project teams at the GM Lordstown New Paintshop facility in Lordstown, Ohio. Responsibilities included liaison with the customer, suppliers and sub-contractors as well as preparing timing plans, budgetary control, cost reporting and management of suppliers and sub contractors. In this position, I accomplished the following:

       Managed the installation and commissioning of $20 million worth of contracts varying from fire protection systems, paint spray booths, HVAC and deep clean. These contracts were completed and executed on time and on budget and the facility was handed over to the client on time

Lead Project Engineer (Mechanical Systems)

Lead Project Engineer responsible for leading multi-disciplined engineering teams in the delivery of paint shop systems for blue chip companies.  Responsibilities included the design and engineering of air, water and compressed gas systems, formal communication with customers, suppliers and sub-contractors as well as preparing timing plans, budgetary control, cost reportage and engineering design. In this position, I accomplished the following:

       Lead Project Engineer on a highly successful $17 million relocation of the Ford Dagenham (UK) Pre-treatment line to Ford Saarlouis, Germany. This project was a major technical and logistic undertaking and required thorough planning, teamwork and attention to detail. The project was completed on schedule and was very profitable

       Lead Project Engineer responsible for managing the engineering and design team for a $10 million Pre-treatment and Electro coating Plant at Honda Swindon in 2000/1. The project was completed ahead of schedule and under budget
