Served as first Director of Leasing for Company, transitioning management of leasing to executive level. Oversaw leasing of portfolio of 20 retail properties, some existing and others in pre-development stages. Recruited and hired third-party brokers, and in-house leasing manager. Negotiated leases and pad sales successfully for major anchor tenants, as well as shop tenants, in properties located in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. Directed and oversaw all marketing and leasing activities in Inlands extensive Southeast portfolio, from Florida through Virginia. Joined as Director of Leasing and Marketing, in essence, creating job description. Worked closely on Companys growth to seven states from Florida through New Jersey. Consummated leases, totaling $18,000,000 in lease revenue. Oversaw number of leases increase by 376% from 2001 to 2002, growing square footage leased by 506%.
PRIMERICA DEVELOPMENTS, Tampa, Florida 1995-1999 Senior Vice President, 1995-1999. Led leasing and marketing initiatives for local developer of commercial retail and office properties. Contributed to development of grocer-anchored and retail Power Centers. Negotiated leases with anchor tenants, shop tenants, and ground leases. Initiated new relationships with Publix Super Markets, Walgreens, Marshalls, Circuit City, Pier 1, T.G.I. Fridays, and other national tenants. Leased and sold pad sites.
AMRESCO INSTITUTIONAL, Dallas, Texas and Tampa, Florida, Vice President, Asset Manager, 1990-1995. Held responsibility for leasing, management, and disposition of extensive portfolio of retail properties in Texas and Florida. Managed properties obtained through foreclosure by Bank of America. Hired third-party leasing brokers, property managers, and listing brokers; monitored activities. Negotiated and signed lease and sale contracts. Liquidated $81,370,000-portfolio at 95% of book value, until office closed.
