STATE ROUTE 125 SOUTH BAY EXPRESSWAY in San Diego, California, a $570 million contract to design and build a private toll road that was 13 miles long with 17 bridges including a 1 mile long bridge. Project was joint venture of Washington Group International & Fluor.
Managed the subcontracting solicitation, MWBE program, and bidding effort.
Streamlined the bid process and improved the MWBE solicitation methods.
Awarded, negotiated managed subcontracts for rock crushing, drilling & blasting, concrete paving, guardrails, electrical, sound walls, site concrete, paving, bridge work, pilings, site restoration, utilities relocation, utilities, center barriers, and trucking.
Project built in accordance with Caltrans requirements and inspected by Caltrans.

Interim Group Manager of Design, Special Projects Group, Capital Projects Office, University of Washington, through consulting agreement. Value of projects overseen was $200 million.

Projects included an $11M POWR PLANT BOILER/BUILDING ADDITION; $8M ELECTRICAL EAST RECEIVING STATION UPGRADE; $12M ELECTRICAL WEST RECEIVING STATION UPGRADE; $12M EMERGENCY POWER SYSTEM EXPANSION; $10M COOLING CAPACITY UPGRADE.,$10M CLASSROOMS IMPROVEMENTS, 3,000 CAR PARKING AREA RECONSTRUCTION/DRANIAGE/PAVING and a one-mile new section of EAST CAMPUS ROADS/UTILITIES. Also acted as Owners Representative.

Self performed concrete work including using heated form system for casting cells.

Senior Project Manager, HOSPITAL SUPPORT FACILITY at Adak, Alaska for the U.S. Navy.
Total responsibility after contract award for negotiating subcontracts/purchase orders and managing the work at this remote Aleutian Island location.
Managed ocean barging, heavy equipment operations/maintenance, quarry and concrete batch plant operations, and worker camp facility.
Self performed earthwork, building excavation, haz mat, utilities and concrete.

Senior Project Manager, for SUMMIT CENTER, a 17 story building in Toledo, Ohio owned by Society Bank. Established programming for completion and investigated leakage issues.

Engineering Director, for $60M 700 UNIT TURNKEY MILITARY FAMILY HOUSING including 70 acres of site development work for the Corps of Engineers Base Expansion Program at Fort Drum, NY. Work including mass site grading, 300,000 cubic yards of rock blasting and removal, utilities and roads and pouring/protecting concrete foundations during extreme winter conditions to meet the Corps tight deadline for base completion.
