Managed the Technical Department for hazardous waste treatment, disposal, monitoring and permitting, handling, storage, and air quality for the companys chemical and pharmaceutical divisions. Responsibilities included working with Federal and State regulatory agencies obtaining and maintaining permits, Compliance, modifying changes to processes and waste classifications, securing DEA and Texas DPS controlled substances certifications, and meeting the latest Department of Homeland Security measures. Responsible for EPA and State compliance under 40 CFR - Environment including RCRA, NPDES, Title V Air, SARA, and CERCLA. Initially responsible for all aspects of commercial development including marketing, sales, process design, treatability studies, proposals, contracts, installation, and process start ups. Applied technology to the healthcare industry for the proper disposal of hospital and infectious biological waste. Companys success lead to being purchased by Tessenderlo-Kerley, Inc. and managed teams up to 30 persons and worked closely with dozens of customers.
