Sohar Fertilizer Project ($600 million project), Industrial Port of Sohar, Sultanate of Oman

Served as Quality Assurance Supervisor/Construction Manager consultant to Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd, Yokohama, Japan, for reinforcement work on concrete , and steel equipment structures, process piping support racks, and heavy equipment foundations through out the project area.. Work included scheduling and supervision of work crews and quality control of additions to reinforced concrete foundations, enlargement of grade beams, and column pedestals, additions to concrete mats, and slab areas.

Reviewed work by crews, foreman and Mitsubishi personnel. Put in place over 2,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete. Reviewed reinforcement method statements and assured that work was proceeding according to engineering drawings. Inspected rebar reinforcement placement for conformance with plans prior to concrete pours. Reviewed concrete mix for conformance with design, sampled concrete, temperature and slump Witnessed laboratory controlled compressive strength tests at 7 and 28 days.

Fertilizer facility consists of ammonia plant that will generate 2,000 metric tons of ammonia a day, two granular urea plants with a combined production capacity of 3,500 metric tons per day, related utilities, and a 1 kilometer long conveyor with offsite ship loading facility at a designated berth within the Industrial Port of Sohar.

San Bernardino City Unified School District, San Bernardino, CA ($800 million bond program)
Serves as Project Manager for over $153 million in new school construction and $34 million of modernization projects under both single and multiple prime delivery methods. Responsible for all District coordination with School Administrators, Maintenance & Operations, Construction Managers, Architects, Contractors, consultants and agencies including the Division of the State Architect, City Agencies, Utility Companies and County Counsel. Develops scopes of work for professional services consultants and served on selection panels for architects and constructability review services. Maintains project budgets and approves all contractor and consultant payment applications. Provided input on District Design Standards and facilitates compliance with the Standards on projects. Coordinated portable classroom setup, and temporary utilities and services for interim classrooms. Coordinated classroom moving, and phasing of project to minimize impact of construction on school site. Managed architectural and engineering design for all on-site and off-site work. Coordinated on site project Inspector of Record, special inspection agencies, and Department of State Architect reviews.
Responsible for managing and coordinating District wide E-rate fiber optic data and voice network providing high speed data service to 55 school sites.

Oakland Unified School District ($300 million bond program)
Served as Project Manager. Responsible for design coordination of new elementary school classroom additions, Construction management of new construction, modernizations, and temporary facilities. Coordinated with land acquisition group,, real estate consultant, and relocation consultant.
Worked closely with City and utility agencies to relocate, remove or modify utilities in street. Worked closely with environmental abatement consultant and demolition work. Interfaced with City, County, and State agencies.

Department of Facilities Management, County of Riverside, CA ($60 million)
As Senior Manager of team, responsible for development of new County facilities. Successfully turned around out of control project in County Administration Building.
Organized and developed working relationship with complex, multiple demanding client (Federal GSA, US Marshals, and Federal Courts), architect, consultants, and contractor on construction of $20 million George Brown US District Court project in Downtown Riverside, CA. The Federal Courthouse project was one of the first private/public projects for the Federal GSA. Courthouse was completed on time and on budget.

City of San Bernardino Redevelopment Agency, CA ($112 million)
Served as Redevelopment Project Manager for redevelopment construction and development program. Projects included an 1,100,000-square-foot governmental complex (completed phase 1 relocation of CalTrans District 8 Headquarters to a new 12-story office building and 1,000 car parking structure), construction of 80,000-square-foot central police facility with jail, 5,000-seat baseball stadium, and development of a 20-screen downtown cinema.
Responsible for development of RFQ/RFP for architect, engineer, planning, and environmental consultants for all projects. Chaired evaluation committee for selection of professional services.

Served as Director of Construction and Development and real estate consultant to general partner of several real estate limited partnerships. Responsible for all phases of real estate development and construction on $148,000,000 program, including: 38 acre mixed use commercial/residential project, 184,000-square-foot office building complex, and 150,000-square-foot retail center.
