Specific Experience: Program Manager, Walsh Group 2007-2009; Managed a business unit within a national construction organization to pursue and execute construction projects at colleges and universities throughout the country. Generated over $2 billion in construction opportunities; hard bid, construction management agency and at-risk. Developed a strategy and executed that strategy to secure business in a market segment that the company did not have a presence in prior to my arrival. Principal, Vivoda Associates, Inc. (VAI) and Vivoda Construction Services (VCS); 1991-2007 real estate development and full service construction management firms. Performed all functions of a corporation, business development, project management, accounting, etc. VCS performed as the completion contractor or construction manager on behalf of bonding companies or financial institutions for bankrupt of defaulted contractors throughout the Midwest. Annual billings averaged $30 million per year. The nature of this business required effective problem solving and analytical skills to assess the state of completion, contractual requirements, payment status and chart a course for the completion of the project. Successfully managed the entitlement, design and construction processes for five senior living properties throughout the country for Brookdale Living Communities valued at $250 million. Managed and supervised the construction and land development of more than 1 million square feet of warehouse distribution facilities for 3M, Bridgestone-Firestone, Successories and Frito-Lay. VAI was a real estate development company focusing on development of condominium and commercial in-fill projects throughout the Chicago area. VAI was the managing partner responsible for property acquisition, design, entitlement, construction and financing of the projects.
