4/90-7/01 Pueblo School District 60, Pueblo, Colorado - Journeyman electrician /electrical shop foreman Provided electrical support for all school properties to include lighting systems, electrical switch gear, kitchen and custodial equipment, and all other electrical systems as required. Provided computer hardware and software support as needed to include setting up computer network labs. Also provided electrical support to other trades. Electrical shop foreman set up daily scheduling for all electrical personnel, assigned work orders, kept track of work using spreadsheets and databases, wrote reports and provided upper management with a picture of the electrical status of the district. Attended meetings on the future changes and expansion of district properties. From 1998-2001 acted as Union President for A.C.M.E., the Association of Custodial and maintenance Employees. During this period I resolved conflicts between employees and upper management, wrote contract language, participated in collective bargaining, and provided critical input into the employee relations process.
7/01-1/08 Oregon State Hospital, Salem, Oregon Journeyman Electrician/Electronics Security Tech Installed, repaired, and maintained all electrical systems to include lighting, power distribution, electrical equipment, and fire alarm systems. I also installed, repaired, maintained and programmed all access control equipment to include the access control server, software, camera systems, switchers, card readers, and sound systems.
1/09-12/09 KBR, inc., Iraq Journeyman electrician, Electrical Trainer, and Electrical QA/QC Responsible for all electrical systems from power generation to the end user. Provided electrical support to the U.S. Military by installing, repairing and maintaining all electrical systems to include main power distribution, computer cabling, and end-user electrical equipment and appliances. Ensured the safety and integrity of all electrical systems and devices to bring them up to KBR electrical certification standards. The position also required creating reports using Word, creating spreadsheets for data analysis using Excel, creating databases using Access, putting on presentations using Power point, using the SAP purchasing system to order stock for the warehouse, and working with the MAXIMO system for work order completion. I provided assistance to the KBR camp manager in daily operations. I also provided input on electrical and other subjects to improve current systems and to notify the military and upper management of all problems or progress. I provided IT support in conjunction with remote IT providers to maintain communication with all pertinent government and company resources. As a qualified KBR trainer, I instructed electricians on electrical systems and safety to include grounding and bonding, foreign electrical systems (230/415V, 50hz), and NFPA70E safety. As an electrical QAQC I ensure that all electrical installations meet the standards of KBR, the DOD, NEC, and BS 7671.
