WORK HISTORY
December 2006 April 2010 (*Left to move back to Illinois) Town of Carefree / Carefree, AZ. Position: Public Works Street Department Responsible for maintenance of towns properties, thoroughfares, parks and infrastructure. Duties included, but not limited to, repairing road ways, maintenance and repair of street signs, beautification maintenance of parks and gardens and medians and right of ways. Maintained water supply systems, streets, sidewalks, curbs, drainage systems, sewer and catch basins. Operated and maintained vehicles such as Back Hoes, Dump Trucks, Skid Steers, as well as other municipality vehicles and trucks. Set up and break down of all community functions such as Holiday Parades, Concerts, Fund Raisers and other events. Maintained Washes including clean up after floods. Responsible for Grading of road ways and shoulders of road ways. Helped Supervise job site crews.
March 2006 - October 2006 (*Left due to move to Arizona) Parsec/BNSF/ Elwood, IL. Position: Driver/Spotter Responsible for loading and unloading of shipping containers from rail cars. Matched them up to vendors chassis, parked them in the yard. Drove hostler/spotter trucks, yard tractors, made sure any problems with vehicles were maintained right away. Operated Chassis Forklifts.
March 2001 - March 2006 (*Laid off) Village of South Chicago Heights / South Chicago Heights, IL. Position: Public Works Dept. Responsible for maintenance of towns properties, thoroughfares, parks and infrastructure. Duties included, but not limited to, service of water mains, repair to water main breaks, repairing road ways, maintenance and repair of street signs, beautification maintenance of parks and gardens and medians and right of ways. Maintained water supply systems, streets, sidewalks, curbs, drainage systems, sewer and catch basins. Was able to do emergency repairs to water systems without interruption to service. Operated and maintained vehicles such as Snow Plows, Back Hoes, Dump Trucks, as well as other municipality vehicles and trucks. Set up and break down of all community functions such as Holiday Parades, Concerts, Fund Raisers and other events.
