Principal of consulting firm providing professional services for environmental assessment and permit
assistance. Prepare plans, reports and analyses of environmental documents used for regulatory compliance.

Department Manager 1985 - 1997
Environmental Department Manager for large consulting firm managing a group of scientists, engineers,
and planners conducting environmental assessments of land, air and water. Responsibilities included client
satisfaction, department billability, project budgets and schedules. Served as Principal-in-Charge on major
projects. Conducted air and water quality sampling, analyses, and reporting. Secured permits and reviewed
compliance with SCAQMD and RWQCBs. Program manager for municipal wastewater treatment plants in
central coast region of California Prepared master plans, basis of design reports, plans and specifications.
Opened Brown and Caldwells Irvine office in 1985, which became the headquarters for the southern
California region in 1995. Served as Quality Management trainer and Stormwater Management coordinator
for southern California region.
Senior Project Manager- Supervising Scientist 1979-1985
Data Quality Control Manager on the Aleutian, Bering Sea, Chukchi Sea Comprehensive Oceanographic
and Meteorological Studies for a consortium of petroleum companies. Served as Project Manager on
predesign studies for ocean outfalls along the barrier islands of North Carolina, and at Estero Bay and
Goleta California. Conducted meteorological, geophysical, oceanographic, water quality, and biological
studies to site and design the outfall. Conducted storm surge and wave analyses for outfall design.
Project Manager 1973 -1979
Served as Project Manager/Principal Investigator for extensive, multi-year NPDES monitoring programs for
the San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. Served as special consultant to Marine Review Committee,
established by the California Coastal Commission. Conducted studies of over 20 industrial and municipal
wastewater discharges to rivers, estuaries, harbors, bays and ocean.
