As AP1000 New Plant Projects Principle QA Engineer, Serve as lead QA Engineer for TG Product Line as well as subject matter expert for domestic U.S. new plant projects turbines, generators, and all related axillaries. Serve as department electro/mechanical lead QA engineer to provide daily guidance in quality and technical matters to lower level engineers. Serve as department mentor to new hires. Serve as AP1000 lead auditor. Serve as Apparent Cause investigator for AP1000 quality issues. Serve as lead QA Engineer for Main Step Up Transformer Product Line for domestic U.S. plants.
As Projects Quality Manager, responsible for fifteen man QA organization in support of corporate quality programs for power generation new plant projects construction across North America region. Maintain internal quality processes program, and organizational lead for ISO 9000 certification program. Budgetary responsibility.
As Strategic Development Engineer, coordinated technical joint ventures with European, Asian, and domestic supplier and manufacturing concerns for new plant projects.
As Senior QA/Mfg Process Engineer, provide quality assurance/control and technical expertise (in-plant and off-site) including development and maintenance of comprehensive manufacturing programs for 650+ personnel power generation products manufacturing plant (among others). Ensure production activities comply with ISO 9000 system standards and other regulatory mandates. Develop plans for manufacture of Power Generation Products through in-depth review of customer contracts, specifications, product drawings, etc. Perform lead internal and external audits. Qualify vendor QA plans and supervise vendor proposal process Develop and implement quality systems and Statistical Process Control procedures.
As FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER, provided technical service expertise for a variety of power generation system service repair contracts throughout the U.S. Provided technical assistance to commercial power plant/utility customers including on-site inspections, system troubleshooting, etc. for fossil and nuclear power generation systems, instrumentation, and equipment. Coordinated field service activities including critical path scheduling, personnel supervision, and material procurement.
