Transmission Life Cycle System Upgrades:
On-Going: Project Manager supervising all efforts necessary to complete the change-out of equipment at various substations valued at over $45M. Project requirements encompass engineering design through construction and energization of various voltages up to 230kV equipment including: circuit breakers, wave traps, line tuners, protection systems. Responsibilities include: tag out, safety plans, supervision of union and nonunion contractors, material procurement, scheduling and outages.

Energy Management Plan Transformer Replacement Project:
On-Going: Project Manager supervising the replacement of nine 26kV transformers approximately $7M. Spearheading the coordination of engineering, client and contracted resources, hazards material testing and abatement, project scheduling, material and service procurement, tag out and safety procedures.

Wind Leaders Assessment Project:
As Project Lead, researched, analyzed, authored and presented a detailed study of Wind Industry Leaders, highlighting their individual business strategies, strengths, and weaknesses. 500kV Greenfield Projects:
Lead Procurement Advisor for a Greenfield 200-mile 500kV $1.2B transmission project construction contract. Utility Procurement Improvement Projects:
As Project Lead, successfully negotiated contract award of $300M project with a Midwest utility with holdings valued in excess of $22B. Analyzed intended spend plan and developed appropriate-level sourcing strategies for a $56M electrical underground distribution contract, introduced alternative suppliers and contracting strategies. Successfully reduced delivery time by over a year for 2 of 4 - 865kV Main Unit Transformers worth $24.5M. Extra High Voltage Retrofit Assessment:
As Project Lead, researched and authored a detailed report describing the market participants for both materials and services to retrofit an existing 200-mile 230kV Transmission line to 500kV. Client praised insight and completeness of work, which included primary suppliers, their lead times and capacities. Developed sourcing strategies for various divisions of work necessary to complete the project in an increasingly competitive transmission market.

International E-Sourcing Project:
Development Lead of Supply Chain strategies; established an international sourcing plan for $500M+ hydroelectric plant repairs and upgrades, as well as an electrical transmission construction/improvement program for a central African subsidiary of a global Fortune 200 utility company. Singularly trained and led their sourcing and engineering staff to successfully develop and leverage RFIs, RFPs, negotiation strategies, to contract awards. Personally presented the projects status, strategies, and expected results to the countrys Minister of Water and Power.

Underground XLPE Project:
Lead contract consultant for the installation of a double circuit 230kV transmission line, which encompassed two segments of the Otay-Mesa Power Loop requiring over 10 miles of duct bank which included over 320,000 feet of cable installation, 210 splices, and 24 terminations. This project also required 3500 ft of directional drilling under the environmentally-sensitive Sweetwater Marsh. It then continued through heavy industrial facilities in Chula Vista, where it finally transitioned back overhead at the South Bay Power Plant.
