Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Work Experience North Carolina Agricultural &Technical State University, Greensboro, NC. M.S. in Nuclear Physics, Anticipated graduation in June 2010. GPA: 3.77
Relevant Courses: Nuclear and Particle Physics, Classical mechanics, Statistical Mechanics and Thermodynamics, Electromagnetism, Quantum Mechanics, Quantum Electrodynamics, Solid State Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Probability and Statistics, Methods of Applied Statistics, Technical writing for Science and Technology.
Tribhuvan University Kathmandu, Nepal undergraduate and M.S. in Physics, May 2003,
Programming, research and data analysis, supervisory experience, problem solving, scientific writing, C++ programming language, a limited experience with FORTRAN. Working with nanosecond electronics for nuclear research, high voltage power supplies. Working with data acquisition package Lab View, program library package CERNLIB.
Lab Instructor (2007-2008 academic years), Department of Physics, NC A&T State University.
Research Associate (2007-2008, 2009 present) at the Nuclear Physics lab at NC A&T State University. My work as a Research Associate was related to testing of the prototype and designing of the Light Monitoring System for Hall B HTCC (High Threshold Cerenkov Counter) at Jefferson Lab for 12 GeV upgrade (link www.jlab.org). Data taken with prototype system were analyzed and the optimal conditions were found. My duties include running and maintaining the test equipment, data acquisition using Lab View, transferring data over the internet and analyzing them using FORTAN and C++ programming languages. During this time I also supervised an undergraduate student. My research is funded by National Science Foundation.
Physics Instructor (2003 2004Academic Year) at College, Janakpur, Nepal. I taught College Physics (Physics 203) and Introductory Physics (Physics 010) at the Dhanusha campus, Janakpur, Nepal.
