Designed concrete foundations and retaining walls for tennis court and decking. Worked with customer and company engineering to develop project scope and specifications. Developed cost estimates and project schedules. Established quality criteria and managed same. Maintained effective working relations with all concerned parties. LEEDs certified.
2004 - 2007 MasterPlan Construction, LLC, Southampton, NY Built commercial buildings and high-end energy efficient homes using green materials and resources. Managed piling projects for waterfront structures as well as steel buildings. Worked with architects and engineers to implement necessary project design features and complexities. Communicated recommendations, objectives, and status to the company, contractors, and customers.
1991 - 2004 R.J.Stanchfield & Company, Sag Harbor, NY - Designed and built beach clubs and restaurant projects including The Old Post House, The Mimosa Beach Club, Coppers Beach Restaurant, Meschutt Beach Club, and others. Also, historical restoration of Mulford House in East Hampton Village as well as the full historical restoration and reconstruction of a three story Meadow Croft building, the Roosevelt mansion at Suffolk County Park, Sayville, NY.
1988 -1991 International Modular Concepts, Washington, DC - Planning and construction project manager/consultant to American-Asia Trading Corporation for Cambodia. Prepared of scope of work and request for quotes from contractors. Teamed with members of Viet Nam construction team to discuss American techniques in public works construction and estimating costs of project. Was consultant to Israeli for community planning. Advised members of Israeli government in locating and establishing relationships with modular and panelized, system built companies. Prepared project budgets.
1987 - 1988 JALCO Construction Company, Westbury, NY - Prepared scope of work and request for quotes from contractors. Maintained active files on project costs. Supervised construction of a 300,000 SF commercial office building in Islandia, NY. Construction consisted of the building and parking lot. When completed reassigned to complete 27 story high-rise apartment building in New York, NY.
1986 - 1987 Strathmore Construction, Coram, NY Supervised the construction of ten office buildings for the Town of Brookhaven government offices. Selected and negotiated with contractors. Managed contractors, initiated work, tracked progress and inspect work. Construction consisted of buildings, accompanying roadways and parking lots.
1985 -1986 Electric Boat of General Dynamics - Groton, CT. Designed and oversaw installation of structural supports for Trident class nuclear submarines. Became familiar with government specifications, mechanical and structural drawings and other project specifications. Top Secret Security Clearance.
1984 -1985 Squires, Holden, Weisenbacher and Smith, Southampton, NY Engineering and Surveying. Tracked projects value, revised plans and prepared reports to lead civil engineer and surveyor. Designed subdivision maps, road profiles/sections and single & separate surveys.
1983 - 1984 Sargent & Lundy Engineers and Constructors. Chicago, Ill. Structural checker for steel platforms, piping supports, electrical supports, moment connections and bolted connections. Material takeoff.
1981 - 1983 Long Island Lighting Company, Shoreham, NY - Certified Nuclear Quality Assurance Engineer for the power plant. Responsible for the QA program in the Reactor Building & the Turbine Generator Building of Shoreham Nuclear Power Station.
1979 - 1981 Walk Haydel & Associates, Baton Rougue and Lake Charles, LA - Structural design and construction oversight of off-shore platforms. Numerous field trips to oversee and correct fabrication of structural steel support members approving welded and bolted connections.
1977 - 1979 Squibb Pharmaceutical, New Brunswick, NJ - Project Manager on the Theragram Suite of rooms that were redesigned and rebuilt. Managed the rigging of multiple large mixers that we staged from the roof.
1976 - 1977 Ebasco Services 9 Rector St., New York, NY & Jericho, NY - Designed and drafted nuclear pipe supports for various nuclear projects. Was assigned to Nuclear Standardization Program. Designed and drafted embedded plates for pipe supports for the standard plant program.
1974 - 1975 Ammann and Whitney, Park Ave., New York, NY - ICBM Sentinel System, Critical Path Method design and drafting. Enjoyed Top Secret Security Clearance from the US Army.
