During the past ten years I have had up to 39 employees and continued to work closely with many subcontractors in the construction and maintenance of many projects. I went thru the State Apprentiship program and first obtained my Journeymans licensure and finally my Masters. I obtained much knowledge in this time period from working on residential to commercial including motels, hospitals, restaurants and manufacturing plants. I worked closely with all other trades and gained a great base for the understanding of their duties. I spent the last six years of my employment with Williams Plumbing and Heating as a supervisor of Residential/Light Commercial Division overseeing between 30-45 plumbers at a time. Thru this, I was able to gain the knowledge to become self employed. Research Equipment Company 08/1986-06/1991 I first began in the manufacturing plant where we built different lab equipment for hospitals and research facilities. I quickly moved to the field division where I traveled around the nation doing new installations and maintenance of existing equipment. This was where I first gained experience as a supervisor as I would sometimes have up to five men on different projects working at remote jobsites that had to be completed to meet job deadlines and costs. I then transferred to the R&D division where we built lab equipment, that thru air flowing thru heap units we could achieve different atmospheric pressures for varying research needs. This led to the development of modular labs that could be moved to various sites around the country which connected to host utilities for operation. All atmospheric conditions could be maintained and monitored thru these systems. I finally became the Quality Control manager and oversaw the plant shipments to make sure they were complete, correct and no flaws of manufactured items With all of my employment I have done many different jobs and gained a lot of experience including a good knowledge of all building trades and codes. I have accomplished or been responsible for the following activities: (1)Installation of new/replacement pumps and motors (2)Wiring of circuit panels and back up emergency generators (3)Low voltage AC [at] DC control wiring (4)Installation of and programming of temperature control systems (5)Installation of Volume dampers and motors (Low and Line voltage) (6)I have a working concept of Johnson Controls systems and worked closely with them and other control subs on numerous projects (7)Installed Honeywell AQ building management systems (8)Installed Uponor building management systems (9)Can read and understand wiring diagrams for the purpose of diagnosing of problems and installation of new equipment (10)Trenching/excavation using heavy equipment and safety of (11)Blueprint, Specs and submittal knowledge (12)Contracts and Subcontracts (13)Employee HR duties including hiring and termination procedures, drug testing procedures payroll and tax issues (14)OSHA mandates and compliance My experience with plumbing and heating began at around 12 years of age working in my Fathers and Grandfathers plumbing business.
