2005-2007

The Keystone Pipeline is 3,456-kilometre (2,148-mile) Keystone Pipeline will transport crude oil from Hardisty, Alberta to U.S. Midwest markets at Wood River and Patoka, Illinois and to Cushing, Oklahoma. The Canadian portion of the project involves the conversion of approximately 864 kilometers (537 miles) of existing Canadian Mainline pipeline facilities from natural gas to crude oil transmission service and construction of approximately 373 kilometers (232 miles) of pipeline, pump stations and terminal facilities at Hardisty, Alberta. The U.S. portion of the project includes construction of approximately 2,219 kilometers (1,379 miles) of pipeline and pump stations. The Pipeline will have an initial nominal capacity of 435,000 barrels per day in late 2009 and will be expanded to a nominal capacity of 590,000 barrels per day in late 2010. Keystone has contracts with shippers totaling 495,000 barrels per day with an average term of 18 years.
The Sonatrach Pipeline $2.B proposal includes the engineering, procurement and construction contract covers the construction of a 275 kilometer long pipeline from the giant Hassi R'Mel oil and gas-gathering complex to Chaiba in the northwest of the country. Construction of a 261 kilometer road between Ain Djasser and El Kala and the installation of a major gas compression station at Chaiba. A 310 kilometer pipeline between Chaiba and the liquefied natural gas terminal at Skikda. The pipeline will provide gas for export from the Skikda terminal, as well as feedstock for the Koudiat Edrouche power plant and the planned Galsi sub-sea export pipeline to Europe.
Managed the Reference Plant design and cost model for the Bechtel/GE Alliance IGCC technology. Instrumental in the project cost reduction of $100MM by subcontracting the Site Work and Civil Work to area contractors. The Duke Edwardsport 600MW LSTK $1.8B project includes the gasification process involves converting coal into a combustible syngas that will be used in a combustion turbine. The exhaust gases are routed through a large heat recovery steam generator that will be used in conjunction with a steam turbine to further increase the plant's efficiency. Edwardsport's pollution will be greatly reduced, as particulate matter and mercury will be removed from the syngas. The coal-derived synthetic gas is much cleaner than conventional coal combustion to begin with, and it is easier to clean to greater extent. Coal gasification allows carbon capture to occur before the fuel is combusted a much easier and economically feasible operation than carbon capture of exhaust gases. It is expected that Edwardsport IGCC will be online during 2011.
Participated with the estimates of several LNG Facilities.
