Experience05-08Construct Corps(813) 769-1100 This is a temp agency that worked me with various companies and many different projects on and off for a number of years. I would install, troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment. Included, but not limited to setting large cabinets for main distribution panels and sub panels, ran imc, emt, rigid, stainless and robroy conduit ½ - 6 diam. I/O racks and associated wiring, cable-tray installations, tubing tray installs, tubing runs, transformer installs and wiring, start-stop stations, instrument installs and fitting, instrumentation calibrations, lighting and various branch circuit wiring along with other tasks required by my immediate supervisors.
91-02Gulf States Inc. (G.S.I.) (800) 231 - 9849 This is an industrial construction group that does all phases of electrical and instrumentation installations and repair. Ran conduit from ½ to 6 , pulled all sizes of wire, built, installed and wired I/O racks for field instrumentation, installed 5kv motors and associated controls, stress cones, pumps, distribution panels, sub panels, transformers, lighting and receptacle circuits. I built and installed cable-tray, installed heat trace and all other electrical tasks which needed to be done. I ended this position as an electrical foreman and feel as though I gained people skills during my time with G.S.I. I also had the opportunity to take a small class on instrument calibrations.
81-90Bath Electrical Systems (B.E.S.)(917) 297-6124 This is a testing company that works in the industrial petroleum and chemical industry. I would Install, troubleshoot and repair high, Medium and low voltage equipment. Tested for speed and temperature trips on breakers, tested, cleaned and repaired transformers, ran conduit, installed switchgear and sub panels. This was a great learning experience with some of the brightest engineers Ive ever had the opportunity to work with. I also had the opportunity to take a P.L.C. course through Allen Bradley. I learned wiring control loops, logic switching, setting parameters on different equipment such as variable frequency drives (V.F.Ds), programming using a library of switches, timers, relays, etc This position, and the education from I.T.T., taught me the theory and basic understanding of electricity.
