Perform basic building maintenance and trouble shoot problems in the building operating systems. Manage equipment and mechanical systems in a large commercial kitchen operation at the resort. Kitchen serves a restaurant, steak-house, and buffet. Performed skilled trade labor on required work orders for repairs and construction projects. Work with staff to create a team approach to all functions of the engineering department. Implement all required policies and procedures for the resort & casino successful operation.
CONST. MANAGEMENT & CONSULTANTNovember 2007 to December 2009 Self EmployedMesquite, NV Independently contracted on individual construction projects for site superintendent services for commercial and residential projects, with projects financed and managed by Owners. I have completed the requirements for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional designation, (LEED-AP). Continue to maintain active B-2 contractor license in state of Nevada and offer sustainable construction guidance on an independent part time basis to contractors needing to understand practices and techniques involved in meeting necessary LEED rated construction contracts. SUPERINTENDENTOctober 2005 to August 2007 Matthews HomesStockton, CA Employed by a large production home builder headquartered in Stockton CA, to supervise construction operation for 160 home project in Mesquite NV. Builder initially owned 600 sites in 3 subdivisions at the Canyon Crest PUD. Shortage in staffing required me to manage and perform Customer Care, new home owner orientations, and warranty resolution, in addition to standard site superintendent duties, with 1 assistant and 1 labor. Within 3 months of hire I was promoted to supervise second subdivision of 200 homes, and complete model homes started by previous superintendent. Corrected model homes quickly while continuing production building on the two subdivisions uninterrupted. Completed all homes constructed in 100 day build timeline as required by Matthews Homes. Completed all homes constructed with zero punch items, and maintained high homeowner satisfaction surveys. Maintained accurate production of two projects with 12 individual floor plans and 48 elevation options between both projects.
SUPERINTENDENTJuly 2005 to October 2005 Arnell-West, Inc.Salt Lake City, UT I was employed by large commercial general contractor, initially, for single project, as second superintendent for major interior renovation of Smiths Grocery in Mesquite NV. The project required completion in 12 weeks, 24 hour/7day work schedule for construction activities, while remaining open to public. Teamed with other superintendent to successfully conduct 24 hour construction schedule without interruptions or delays to construction time line. Managed logistics of construction activity coexisting with 24 hour public access. Maintained high level of safety for construction workers and protection measures for public access. Expedite construction process by performing labor on several skilled trade categories for misc. work not included in estimating or subcontracting. Worked additional hours under salary to meet deadlines.
