I have been in the US for 11 years. I have a green card that was sponsored by a builder who recruited me for a management position. Within one year of my arrival, the company, which was 13 years old, was put out of business by lawsuits over mould conditions in buildings they had constructed. Welcome to the USofA. At that point, I formed my own company and have worked on many exciting projects. . .

SDR Commercial Services, Cornelius, NC Primarily a service company that branched out to all aspects of building interior design through to complete commercial up fits. Some projects up to $20 million, being luxury car dealers in Charlotte. Over my 4-year relationship with SDR I was in charge of all aspects of the company that typically had 35 employees. I worked directly under the owner and was very successful at the task.

Slater Holdings, Cornelius, NC A great opportunity working for an investor firm from Miami. I headed up the construction side of a company building in the greater Charlotte area. The Lake Norman area has been one of the fastest growth areas in the states. The fast paced environment and influx of business and people gave me invaluable experience into the importance of planning and sticking to the plan. This 6-year employment included both commercial and estate residential (up to 12,000 sq/ft house - $4.3 million). I took projects from drawings to completion.

PCG Insurance In a 26th floor setting in Charlotte, I was asked to move a company of 70 employees to an 11th floor office nearby. Labor, logistics, permits and leasehold improvements. Job came in right on time and without a hitch.

Goode Properties Fire restoration at a 120-unit condo in Charlotte. Project included all aspects from demolition to reconstruction. Good job but no thanks to a career in fire restoration.

Consumer Link Managed a commercial upfit for a multi million-dollar mail order company. Typical steel stud and sheetrock with acoustics and millwork. Special attention to loading dock facility and huge areas for workers to be in air conditioned space. Extensive HVAC and electrical requirements. Facility was a great success.
