Connecting Bridge Suspended From Roof Joists With Steel-Rod System

Penthouse rough-loft-to-residence conversion on Broom St. and Cosby St. Extensive use of LVL joists. One kitchen & two baths . Built two mezzanine bedrooms and baths. The bedrooms were joined with a connecting bridge suspended from roof joists with an interesting metal rod connection system . Exacting results for a very exacting client.

Vestry Street Corporation

1860 Building / Tribeca project / Assisted in converting a five story warehouse into ten loft residences. The building required extensive structural work . Joist and column replacement occurred throughout the building . 8 double entry doors to each apartment were cast in place incorrectly by the previous contractor & required cutting-out and re-setting. Structural steel work was required for the penthouse thru-the -roof design. Assisted in old elevator removal and new hydraulic elevator installation.

Abbey Rockefeller Residence

East 72nd. St. & Park Ave . Installation of interior mahogany trim & casework with extremely tight tolerances. The project gathered the most talented group of finish carpenters that I have ever seen to date.

1994 Sub - Contractor / Welder -Decorative Ironwork Re-Installation
Jasper Johns ( Painter ) Residence

Re-installation of original decorative exterior metalwork on E. 63rd. St. (The old Gypsy Rose residence ). The building was a four story, triple-wide residence with an interior four-sided courtyard. Most of the original ironwork had been blow-torched- off of the windows , balconies & stairs by others to accommodate re-stuccoing (in white ) the entire residence. The challenge was re-aligning irregular -sized cuts and missing chunks in the balustrade , fence & window ironwork on the street-side and throughout a four-storied courtyard . Rigging and protecting the white stucco surfaces from sparks was tricky. (Stick welded , did not have a TIG welder ) . I personally did all of the work.

1988-1994 General Contractor / Carpenter / Bill Cosby Residences
Exclusive General Contractor in Manhattan for Bill Cosby over a six year period. Scope of work included renovating a seven story townhouse on E. 71st. St. as well as a four story brownstone on E. 61st. St. Both projects required landmarks approval, significant structural enhancement, new M.E.P. services, extensive fine casework, woodwork, stonework, masonry, floor and metal work as well as upgrading elevator services and installing new security systems. Product & service quality was premium during my tenure with Mr. Cosby. I obtained the C. of O. for the 71st. St. residence in July of 1992. I did a great deal of hands-on work as well as total oversight of all contracting. The work was complicated , challenging and of highest standards. All New MEP Services / Complicated Alarm System


1985-1988 Subcontractor / Carpenter
Designer-Builder of Deck Systems /Casework Installer

Designed and built decking systems for penthouses throughout NYC . ...I integrated aluminum / stainless structural elements with mahogany , redwood or teak . I also installed casework for several small companies ..... installed most of the mahogany balcony doors on the old Singer Building across from Dean & DeLuca on Broadway with a business partner ( Jerry Brown ) who was a Japanese Joinery expert.



1981-1985 Owner / Operator Of Bronze Foundry & Enlarging Studio
( Sarasota Fla. )

Created / enlarged & cast small to monumental bronze sculpture for other sculptors as well as for myself. Lost -wax ceramic -mold technique was used. I built all furnaces & foundry tooling . I enlarged & cast 8 monumental bronze statues and one of my own , (up to 1 ton). Numerous smaller pieces were cast (20 to 200 pounds) for others as well as myself.
