As a Master Plumber/Field Foreman, I have run projects of various scope and size
As the foreman on the construction of a new wing at the Portage Police Department, I coordinated a crew of 4 plumbers as well as planned material and time lines for the duration of the 6-month long project.
As the foreman of a floor re-model of the Oaklawn Hospital, I worked closely with the hospital staff and the general contractor to fit within a tight operating room shutdown schedules, for the installation of med-gas systems. In order to install this system, I had completed a EMGS certification for environmental and medical gas services. I coordinated a crew of 4-6 plumbers for the duration of the year long project.
As the lead foreman of the Studio One Apartments project for Wayne State University, in downtown Detroit, I was in charge of all the stages from planing to completion of a 5 story, 124 residential and 7 commercial unit, 15-month long project.
In the early stages of the project, I used the plumbing drawings to create material
take offs for each floor separately
I worked with a staffing agency to hire skilled tradesmen required to meet the time line of the project. This included interviewing and hiring 20 general labor and skilled tradesmen from the city of Detroit.
I worked closely with the general contractor and all the trades, coordinating the correct sequence of installation from the initial stages to the completion of the project.
The project was successfully completed by the deadline set by the general contractor

As an apprentice plumber working in the field of commercial plumbing I learned from experienced Journeyman and Master Plumbers.
Continued to work and study towards my Journeymans License, which I received in 1996.
Since receiving my Journeyman License, I have been a foreman on many projects varying in size from smaller scale 2-week projects, to larger scale 1-year projects.
I have extensive experience in project planning, beginning with blue-print review to take-offs, to fabricating bathroom groups and welded steel-pipe layouts...etc
I have a strong working knowledge of the mechanics of boilers and hot water heating systems. I have recently completed several projects, which began with the blue-print review, boiler layout and installation. These projects provided me with valuable experience of the inner-workings of the mechanical rooms.


QUALIFICATIONS:

I have been working since I was a teenager, beginning on local dairy farms
I attended college for 2 years, enrolled in the Mechanical Drafting program
I have been in the plumbing industry for over 17 years
I am very comfortable with the role of project leader/job foreman.
I have had experience interacting with architects, mechanical engineers, HVAC engineers and the end customer.
I have a working knowledge of stick and wire welding.
I have experience in operating heavy equipment such as backhoes, front end loaders, excavators, bobcats, forklifts and similar.

I am an easy going person. As a foreman, I maintain a good working relationship with my crew. I am equally comfortable reporting to someone as I am having others report to me.
My personal interests include mountain biking, kayaking, camping, reading, skiing and travel.
