MICHAEL recently polished his 29-year multi-faceted development career working with The Wilder Companies as Senior Tenant Coordinator on the Loop West 400,000 square foot Open-Air Lifestyle Center project in Kissimmee, Florida. Complimentary Big Box stores included -- a 10,000 sq. ft. ULTA, a 12,000 sq. ft. Party City, a 14,500 sq. ft. DSW Shoes and a 15,500 sq. ft. Books-A-Million. Previously Michael worked with Tenant Coordination teams on four of 3rd-Works Retail Development Services highest profile projects: Simon Property Groups 110,000 square foot Lifestyle Center expansion project -- anchored by Barnes & Noble -- to the 1.04M square foot Lehigh Valley Mall in Allentown, Pennsylvania; Simon Property Groups Florida mixed-use project Coconut Point -- (Concurrently at Coconut Point in Florida, he also successfully coordinated site development orders for Lowes Home Improvement Center in Estero as well as kicked off the Tenant Coordination of Estero Towne Commons, both for 3rd-Works newly acquired client, Kite Realty Group of Indianapolis.); Poag & McEwen Lifestyle Centers 460,000 square foot The Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania; Gordon Group Holdings 325,000 square foot Retail-Destination project The Pier at Caesars in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
PRIOR to his tenure with 3rd-Works Cleveland office, Michael focused on theming -- all architectural decorative elements including interior & exterior signage and Entry Icons -- during his role as FFA Project Manager for The Mills Corporation, with oversight of The Galleria at Pittsburgh Mills in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and The Great Mall of Milpitas in San Jose, California. His scope of responsibilities ranged from specialty-fabrication element estimates, pricing and value engineering, through installation, coordinating with high-profile design firms CommArts and RSM in conjunction with Mills internal design teams, structural engineers and the base- building contractor and Project Manager. For six months in 05 Michael received interim training as a CAD operator performing Sprinkler System Fire Protection Design for commercial projects and denominational structures.
PRECEDING his tenure with The Mills Corporation, Mike focused his prior construction management experience into the retail general contracting arena, providing Fast-Trac construction services across the nation for numerous retailers ranging from Gymboree and Janie & Jack, to BCBG & Juicy Couture.
DURING the years of 2000 thru 2002, Michael acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in the Telecommunications field, working as Field Manager forO2 Wireless Solutions where he coordinated wireless cell tower antenna installation; and as Project Manager while coordinating fiber optic clean room TI construction projects.
MICHAEL spent 4 years working his way from Fabrication Detailer to Architectural Decorative Metals Project Manager while working for Architectural and Aluminum Specialties Company in New Kensington, Pennsylvania. Two of his most prestigious projects are the LTV Center in Dallas, Texas, and The Quaker Building-Quaker Tower in Chicago, Illinois.
EARLIER in his career -- after beginning in architectural store planning & design, and then graduating to commercial architectural design at Salvucci Engineers, Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania -- Michael owned and operated his own construction firm for 13 years. It was there that he worked hands on as well as coordinated over $10 million dollars of contracted construction projects. A Pennsylvania resident, he attended Pennsylvania State University and the Greensburg Institute of Technology earning his degree in Architecture.
