QUALIFICATIONS I am a highly motivated, competent, safe, hard working and quick learning individual. I have knowledge in all aspects of heavy foundation construction, retail build ups and commercial fit outs. I am skilled at supervising multiple trades and unions on high production, accelerated schedules jobs, with early completion bonuses and liquidated damages at stake. I have 11 years of construction supervision experience plus an additional 18 years working as a union dock builder doing all types of heavy foundation work in the pile driving arena, including load testing, sheeting, shoring, formwork both on land and on water. I worked the majority of those years as a general foreman for the same company. I read and understand blue prints, shop drawings, specifications and also construction laws. I am computer literate and competent with my record keeping. I have learned and been working with the PROLOG construction software for the past few years and am proficient with daily reports, safety meetings and time keeping. I supervise multiple trades and crews in ground up construction of residential homes in the central New Jersey area. I order materials, schedule manpower and oversee all aspects of production from site work to landscaping. I am responsible for all recordkeeping, timekeeping, job performance, permits and on-site safety programs.
2006-2008 SENIOR PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT, KOHL CONSTRUCTION GROUP, LLC. I supervised multiple trades and crews in numbers ranging from 15-100 + workers. I monitored job production, performance, safety issues and awareness. I coordinated contractor and material scheduling and disputes. I used PROLOG software as a management tool for all daily reports, scheduling, timekeeping, change orders, requests for information, and tool box talks. I worked hand in hand with the Project Managers assigned to my jobsites. The construction of the new indoor tennis facility at the United States Tennis Association in Flushing, NY (US Open) was my first project with Kohl.
2004-2006 PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT, TREVCON CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. Hired to supervise marine and land foundation construction of the future New York Cruise Ship Terminal at Pier 12, Brooklyn, NY. Demolition of pier sections, 100ft. plus replacement batter piles, free floating deck/sections and 2 40x40 mooring foundations were managed successfully. In addition to meeting a very aggressive schedule contracted by Turner Construction and the Port Authority of New York.
2004-2005 SUPERINTENDENT, AERO SNOW REMOVAL Supervising snow plow/melting operations at Terminal C (airside) at Newark International Airport. Multiple pieces of heavy equipment and operators working directly with Port Authority operation officers to coordinate highest priority. Tight deadlines, extreme precision and safe operations at all times. All operations work around active taxi ways and plane paths. Long consecutive hours with numerous connected paperwork.
2004-2004 SUPERINTENDENT, KISKA CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION Supervised reconstruction of center pier of 3rd Avenue Bridge, New York City, NY. Working off water barges, scheduled and coordinated deliveries by tugboats, multiple trades, daily reports, time keeping and record keeping. Co-supervised transition of fabricated bridge from transport barge to pair of aligning support floats. 2003-2004 SUPERINTENDENT, UNDERPINNING & FOUNDATION CONST., INC. Performed all duties associated with field supervision. I managed multiple crew and unions at the Newtown Creek Sewage Disposal Plant, over seeing all construction production, material deliveries and organization of huge quantities of pilings by barge deliveries (these pilings were over length and could not be trucked. However, they did arrive right to the edge of our jobsite where they were unloaded during night shifts). Large 500 ton hydraulic cranes (2) were needed to simultaneously unload the barge and then place them where they could be used for production. Additionally, I became proficient with the construction computer programs.
