Southeast Cabinet Supply
Owner 1998-2000
As President I had the opportunity to buy Henry Company Homes cabinet shop with no money down and a three year contract to do cabinets for all their homes. I jumped at the chance.
After having to clean up the previous managers mess we went on to build over three hundred sets in the first six months and pulled the builder out of a jam to be able to close his homes before the end of the year.
Next year we did about two million in sales.
Sold out to a partner and moved to the Jacksonville Florida area.

Responsible for changing the tarnished image of the fourth largest homebuilder in Florida.
To bring trust and a good reputation back from where others had abused their position.
Acted as Warranty Manager to clean up three hundred fifty outstanding homes that had numerous warranty items. Down to approximately fifty when I left. Something that the other two divisions in the company failed to do.
Acted as Sales Manager responsible for selling thirty homes per month.
Hiring and firing of all personnel.
Buying land and developing subdivisions
Monthly and weekly sales reports
Actively working with County Building Inspectors to assure them that we were turning things around, building to code, and to have zero complaints.
Working with Realtors to assure them that our homes were the ones to sell. The best buy for the money.

Henry Company Homes
Manager 1994-1996
Fourth largest homebuilder in Florida hired me; my first assignment was to manage his cabinet shop for his houses of approximately 600 homes a year, which was in complete shambles when I arrived.
Largest shop in three counties. We supplied 585 homes the first year I was there. The shop was in complete shambles when I got their. Their system was something I knew nothing about. At first I told the builder that I was not interested in the job but he made me an offer I could not refuse.
After three months I had everything running so good that I was calling the superintendents to see what they had for us instead of being 25 houses behind, were 25 houses ahead and running smoothly.

Lees Cabinet Shop
Owner 1972-1994
My fathers health declined to the point that I had to take over all aspects of the company. I was my own sales person, designer, and layout person.
We were one of the largest cabinet shops in North West Florida
In 1988 we went from being a face frame cabinet shop to a complete European style (frameless) shop. One of the first in the Pensacola area. We went from twenty five men to five and had better productivity.
I was invited to speak at a woodworking manufacturing show to tell my story on How to Convert over to 32mm without Losing Money.
I was featured in a national magazine on How to Deal with Architect.
