Ryland Homes Builder 2003-2006 Ryland Homes made me an offer to come on as a builder in Oakleaf Plantation. Built and closed the 2nd most houses in company in only six months. Received an award for builder of the quarter and customer satisfaction Was in charge of Biscayne Bay town homes project off of Duval Ave, Doctors Inlet models off of Hwy 220, Trout River Landing model off of Dunn Ave. and Oak Harbors models in Oakleaf Plantation. I had one of if not the highest customer satisfaction ratings in the division. My wife and I moved to New York where she grew up, left Ryland Homes in very good standings.

Royal Coast Builders Builder 2000-2000 Went to work for Royal Coast Builders (Arthur Rutenburg Homes) Hired to help solve construction problems within the company Building Inspector told me when I started that we were one of about three builders that he really had to keep his eye on because of shoddy work. After just three months he told me he no longer has to worry about us. After eight months I was laid off due to lack of sales.
Southeast Cabinet Supply Owner 1998-2000 As President I had the opportunity to buy Henry Company Homes cabinet shop with no money down and a three year contract to do cabinets for all their homes. I jumped at the chance. After having to clean up the previous managers mess we went on to build over three hundred sets in the first six months and pulled the builder out of a jam to be able to close his homes before the end of the year. Next year we did about two million in sales. Sold out to a partner and moved to the Jacksonville Florida area.
Henry Company Homes Division President 1996-1998 Promoted from manager to division president of a thirteen million dollar division of Santa Rosa County in just fourteen months, and out of one hundred four employees some of whom had more seniority than myself. Responsible for maintaining a forty percent gross profit on all homes. Responsible for changing the tarnished image of the fourth largest homebuilder in Florida. To bring trust and a good reputation back from where others had abused their position. Acted as Warranty Manager to clean up three hundred fifty outstanding homes that had numerous warranty items. Down to approximately fifty when I left. Something that the other two divisions in the company failed to do. Acted as Sales Manager responsible for selling thirty homes per month. Hiring and firing of all personnel. Buying land and developing subdivisions Monthly and weekly sales reports Actively working with County Building Inspectors to assure them that we were turning things around, building to code, and to have zero complaints. Working with Realtors to assure them that our homes were the ones to sell. The best buy for the money.
Henry Company Homes Manager 1994-1996 Fourth largest homebuilder in Florida hired me; my first assignment was to manage his cabinet shop for his houses of approximately 600 homes a year, which was in complete shambles when I arrived. Largest shop in three counties. We supplied 585 homes the first year I was there. The shop was in complete shambles when I got their. Their system was something I knew nothing about. At first I told the builder that I was not interested in the job but he made me an offer I could not refuse. After three months I had everything running so good that I was calling the superintendents to see what they had for us instead of being 25 houses behind, were 25 houses ahead and running smoothly.
Lees Cabinet Shop Owner 1972-1994 My fathers health declined to the point that I had to take over all aspects of the company. I was my own sales person, designer, and layout person. We were one of the largest cabinet shops in North West Florida In 1988 we went from being a face frame cabinet shop to a complete European style (frameless) shop. One of the first in the Pensacola area. We went from twenty five men to five and had better productivity. I was invited to speak at a woodworking manufacturing show to tell my story on How to Convert over to 32mm without Losing Money. I was featured in a national magazine on How to Deal with Architect.
