Construction manager and senior partner on a 147-unit single family residential community in Robertsdale, Alabama. Acted as the focal point on matters such as design review and analysis of projects, preparation of construction documents, bidding, negotiations, subcontractor selection, material purchasing, scheduling, project budget, quality control, and the final stage of obtaining certificate of occupancy. Ensured procurement engagement in business development. Maintained performance metrics to measure the performance of the project procurement with regard to cost savings, on time delivery and cost.
Civil designs include preparation of construction plans for the grading, drainage and storm water, hydrologic studies, utility plans (water and sewer), DOT widening plans, erosion control, etc. Construction administration included contractor selection, reviewing and approving contractors pay request, contractors shop drawings, approval of change orders, and post development review. Prepared numerous feasibility studies and worked hand in hand with the developers, local and state municipalities and contractors.
Surveying responsibilities included the management of survey crews and office design staff to support the functions for numerous single and multi-family residential and commercial projects. Surveying projects included ALTA/ACSM surveys, boundary, topographic, hydrographic and wetland delineation surveys, subdivision surveying and construction staking.
