Professional Key Achievements

Effectively planned the mandated relocation of US District Court judges chambers (25) and offices (100+) several times in four years. Attacked the challenge by developing the actual relocation plans, and integrating tenants into the process. Created a move manual and led tenant meetings to avoid disruption and eliminate confusion. Efficiently ensured that a series of complex relocations with few alternative space options were completely successful.

Creatively spearheaded the design and construction of high security mailroom in the wake of September 11. The U.S. Government had little experience in designing secure mail facilities. Personally developed prototype with individual mail opening rooms, specialized ventilation, decontamination facilities and a closed water containment system. Extensively accommodated the needs of numerous Federal Courthouse tenants.

Competently implemented compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act for 300 McDonalds facilities in one year at a savings of 28% over projected costs. Created standardized checklist that made quick identification of the internal and external modification needs of each McDonalds store possible. Secured bids from contractors with firm completion dates. Negotiated with suppliers to provide materials for all 300 jobs at an attractive flat rate. Brought every store up to date in record time for minimal cost.

Proficiently Enabled McDonalds to make important store modifications while maintaining existing construction schedule. Store operators were eager to add several new products requiring site modifications that threatened to push schedules, costs and crew work hours out of line with an already aggressive construction schedule. Pre-designed new projects and secured contractor bids on the pre-designs, yielding 50% more work within the existing schedule. Won awards as Best Remodeling Manager and for Most Successful Year. Nominated for Corporate Presidential Award.
