Summary of Qualifications:
Thirty (30) years experience as a Senior Project Manager, Project Manager, Project Controls Manager working EPCM, and Client Side Project Management Representative, and as Expert Advisor in North America, Europe, Central Asia and the Caribbean.
Experience Profile:
My key accomplishments over the past thirty (30) years have been acting as the Owners Representative and EPCM Project Manager completing of five (5) Czech Petrochemical Refinery projects with off-gas steam generation for both power and process, two (2) steel rolling mill projects; one (1) in the US and one (1) in Europe, multiple coal and gas fired power projects both in Europe and the US. I have completed other projects such as pulp and paper, and consumer products projects as well as infrastructure projects. Most recently I completed the Early Works Projects and first phase of the Residue Disposal Area #5 in Jamaica for Alcoa World Alumina. I am also regarded as forward thinking with the ability to advance plan projects that deliver client return on investment
My success in completing these projects is due to my abilities in building consensus, responsibility and authority through working with the team to develop and deploy the Project Plan and Execution Strategy which includes control tools, the contracting plan and staffing plan and working and teaching the team members how to look forward. I believe in a strong set of metrics for project success; safety, team health, cost, quality and schedule being the cornerstones of these metrics; thereby allowing the project team to effectively gauge and adjust incremental project success and challenges.

Project Manager: Alcoa World Alumina 2007 to present.
I am responsible as the Owners Project Manager for the execution of the 200m USD upgrade of the residue disposal area at the Clarendon Alumina Refinery operated by Alcoa World Alumina in partnership with the government of Jamaica. The projects consist of the execution of Uplift of the recently completed Residue Disposal Area #5 and one Storm Lake with associated dust suppression system piping, residue pumping and ancillary systems. Responsibilities include the Owners Staff of fifteen(15) for Safety Management, Project Engineering, Project Controls, Field Contracts Administration, Safety, Construction Management and Procurement. The projects execution is being performed under a CM agreement with Fluor Enterprises of Greenville South Carolina.
Construction Specialist and Project Manager: Alcoa World Alumina 2004 to 2007.
I was responsible for the cost, schedule and risk management of the Jamalco U3 and associated Early Works Project (EWP). Additionally I was responsible to oversee and assist the prime contractors Fluor and Hatch in the execution of the project by providing guidance to the project controls functions. Further I was responsible to report to the Alcoa Project Director on the status of the projects progress and risks. The project included the installation of 1.3 billion dollar expansion of the Jamalco facility in Jamaica. The scope of the project was to include gas turbine with HRSG to low pressure steam turbines to sell power back to grid.

Project Controls Manager: EGC Construction October 2003 to 2004
I was responsible for the cost and schedule execution of the projects at the P&G Lima Ohio site. My focus has been to establish a clear understanding of our obligations to complete the project and maintain our cost controls obligations to H.J. Russell FDI while assisting the site management in the completion of the project. Additional responsibilities were as Site Safety Manager assisting H.J. Russell Flour Daniels to execute the projects in safest possible manner. The projects included boiler retrofit in Cincinnati Ohio for the ash handling systems

Senior Projects Manager: Chemopetrol a.s, Litvinov Czech Republic: Dates October 1999 to August 2002
I was responsible for the completion the Hydrogen Gasification Project with off gas steam generation, Ethylene Modernization Project, off-gas steam boiler retrofit to steam turbine ethylene compressor, Polypropylene Modernization Project, Polyethylene Modernization Project, Oxygen Liquefaction Project at Chemopetrol. Duties and responsibilities included the execution of the project, including execution strategy development, contracting plan development, staffing, scheduling, cost, safety, engineering, design, and startup.
Consultant: Tippins Incorporated, Nova Hut Mini Mill, Czech Republic: Dates February 1999 to October 1999
I assisted Tippins Incorporated in the development and implemented the Project Completion Plan for the Nova Hut Mini Mill project located in Ostrava, Czech Republic. My efforts included the development of a comprehensive completion plan including effective implementation of project controls, communications tools, execution strategy and organizational structuring.

I was responsible for the management of POWER International Central Asian Operations. Specific responsibilities included the development and execution of the regional business plan for privatization of the electrical energy sector. The companies core business lines included; project management, project development, privatization, equity investment, engineering, and power generation operations. The facilities included several brown and black coal boilers requiring extensive retrofitting to the latest technology for pollution control and steam and condensate conservation.
Project Controls Manager: POWER International, Prague, Czech Republic: Dates 1991 to 1994
I was responsible for the multi-national development and implementation of POWER Internationals project management control programs. These duties included responsibility for budget and cost, scheduling, document control, correspondence control and contract administration for the business unit. This position primarily focused on the fluidized bed boiler retrofit of the brown coal power plants in the Czech Republic.

My duties included the definition of scope, estimation of cost and project management for projects from bid through to completion. Responsibilities also included the formation of project budgets, tenders, and negotiations for services, equipment, and materials.

My duties and responsibilities were varied as I was assigned to several projects with Bechtel.
