Plan, organize and manage the overall installation and renovation of medical equipment within health care facilities worldwide for a company in Wisconsin ($649 million/year). Responsibilities include design and blueprint review and analysis of projects, preparation of vendor specific documents, scheduling, project development and coordination, shipping, installation, quality control and coordination of staff training for facility personnel. Supervise and coordination of up to 30 departments inside and outside the company, including but not limited to sales, marketing, architects, engineers, trade workers, installation crews, shipping and physics staff for each facility. Conducted frequent site inspections to assist with coordination and adherence to company policies.
KEY PROJECTS AND SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Successful completion of First in Country installations in the UK, Germany, Spain, Brussels and the Netherlands. Completed a removal, renovations, installation and clinically treating within 30 days. Challenge: The facility had only one machine and could not afford to be down for an extended period. This process typically takes from 4 months to 1 year. Detected issues with construction drawings and worked with architects, engineers and tradesman to resolve the issues. While reviewing blueprints and working onsite, I was able to reuse existing items that contributed to facilities saving anywhere from $50,000 to $100,000. Reduced company time and errors by 35% by developing and enforcing company procedures and regulations. Promoted option items for clients needs that resulted in a direct sale of this equipment. Created Macro project to import data from an excel spread sheet that would automatically create drawing elements and allow for creation of a live bill of materials. Challenge: This process was previously entered into a Lotus format for computation and then manually redrawn. Created and delivered a customized training program for Adobe Photoshop. Organized and delivered 3D Studio Viz, basic AutoCAD and advanced Architectural Desktop training programs. Instituted the creation of the AutoCAD Help desk to alleviate the need for programmers to stop and answer the phone. This increased the departments productivity by 58%.
