Mr. Miraks responsibilities as project architect in various projects in HKS included: working on design and construction document phase (CD) and construction administration (CA) phase of projects. The intention here was to work on a project from design development phase (DD) to the construction administration phase. In CD phase, he was involved in detailing building envelops, developing interior finish details, coordinating medical and food service equipment with architectural plans, coordinating M/E/P items, reviewing acoustic and sound masking related issues and reviewing project specifications.

In construction administration phase, he was involved in reviewing contract documents, attending to owner/architect meetings, participating in construction weekly meetings, reviewing submittals, shop drawings and product data, issuing substantial completions and pay applications, conducting field observations and punch lists.

Design Architect for Arthur Erickson, Webb, Zerrafa, Toronto, Canada (09/1988 to 06/1990)

Famous Canadian architect Arthur Erickson was partner in charge with King Abdul-Aziz University campus buildings and University Hospital project in Jedda, Saudi- Arabia. This 1.1 million-sq. ft. project is the largest Hospital for a University in the Middle East. The project was designed and built in various phases. Because of HIS familiarity with Middle Eastern Culture, Mr. Mirak had important role in the programming and preliminary design phases of the project. His area of work included: Hospital Programming, building block designs, conceptual designs, building faade design and studies, developing architectural vocabulary for the buildings.
