  • Collaborated with the sales force and tech services to better understand customer requirements in order to provide a product to best meet customers’ needs for the Market Forge line of boilers and several models of Marsal deck ovens. 

  • Established and maintained an efficient dialogue between the manufacturing line workers and engineering department to help the line workers understand outstanding issues.  Based on these conversations, parts were redesigned, resulting in more efficient product production.

  • Investigated the proposal of a consulting firm report pertaining to potential issues with campus steam capacity related to the proposed campus growth. Determined that there was sufficient capacity in the steam system to support the proposed growth for the next ten years, resulting in not spending capital funds on more equipment.




  • Served as lead project engineer for boiler replacement project in the university education building.  Project consisted of the demolition of the two existing boilers including asbestos abatement, control upgrade, air permit compliance and the installation of the new boilers 3.3 MMBTU rated while making the project code compliance current.

  • Served as lead project engineer for the upgrade of two 18,000 lb-hr boilers, which included asbestos abatement, new condensate tank and pumps, low NOx burners and fuel supply equipment. After requesting a boiler inspection, it was determined that a boiler upgrade was more cost effective than the original proposal to replace the boilers. This resulted in a cost savings of $2.2 million.

  • Established the service department starting with 8 employees which grew to 40 employees in 16 months, while keeping the department profitable at a 22% net margin.
