A senior leadership role overseeing regional operations, project delivery, and team performance for a growing commercial construction group. This position guides the Kansas City division across business development, preconstruction, and field operations while ensuring projects are executed safely, profitably, and with strong client satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
Lead the division's project lifecycle from early planning through closeout, ensuring consistent processes and high-quality execution.
Oversee regional office functions including business development, preconstruction strategy, and construction operations.
Strengthen company culture in the Kansas City market and champion new technologies and improved ways of working.
Build and develop high-performing teams through hiring, coaching, and ongoing talent development.
Maintain strong awareness of the local construction market and negotiate contracts that protect business and legal interests.
Manage project oversight, internal and external communication, and operational staffing needs.
Direct budgeting efforts for the region and ensure accurate project-level financial reporting.
Support risk evaluation, pricing decisions, and contract strategy.
Ensure projects meet expectations for safety, quality, schedule, and client experience.
Cultivate trusted relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and vendors, and participate in key project milestones and new opportunities.
Visit job sites to assess progress and maintain alignment between teams, clients, and leadership.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of senior operations experience with a general contractor or construction manager delivering commercial building projects.
