We are currently seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead construction operations and personnel for our established, growing asphalt paving contractor in the Midwest. This leadership role is critical to ensuring operational excellence, workforce management, and strategic development in the commercial asphalt industry.
Responsibilities:
Report directly to the President, overseeing all asphalt-related construction operations and personnel.
Lead small- and large-scale projects, including paving, maintenance, and rehabilitation efforts across the region.
Ensure high-volume productivity in asphalt services while optimizing workflows and performance metrics.
Oversee strategic planning, workforce development, and operational efficiency to maintain steady growth.
Qualifications:
Mandatory: 10+ years of leadership experience in asphalt paving, infrastructure services, or a related construction sector.
Proven ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced asphalt operations with a focus on quality and efficiency.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, capable of team development, conflict resolution, and organizational management.
Demonstrated track record of delivering projects on time and within budget while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
