Job Description
Work within the construction management team to lead and support work efforts in the area of startup and commissioning for the US EPR. Lead US team in the development of construction and initial startup testing processes and procedures.
Develop relationships with the AREVA start-up and commissioning leadership team in Paris and current EPR projects underway.
Time will be required on the ground in Paris during the planning phase, and at EPR sites during construction and start-up activities.
Eventually manage and implement startup activities for the US EPR from construction testing through full power testing phases, including initial criticality and power generation.
Perform startup oversight/implementation of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation and control systems testing.
Support ITAAC startup related activities during construction/startup.
In the areas of construction schedule and cost responsibilities, perform assessments on the U.S. EPR construction/startup schedule and perform cost benefit analysis in order to optimally balance construction cost and schedule with regard to nuclear island start-up testing and commissioning.
Support the detailed design of the US EPR by performing constructability reviews to ensure that the start-up testing can be performed effectively and efficiently.
