Commercial Contracting and Management Firm where he procured all business and contracts either privately or publicly. Valuation $90 million sold. 120 employees consisted of Structural Engineers, Project Managers, Bid Estimators, and Presentation Teams.
Developed relationships with public and private Architectural and Engineering firms to acquire business. Bid preparation, Bid presentation, privately negotiated work at risk, CM, and cost plus contracts all performed.
Directly marketed construction services to Health First Hospital, MIMA, MRI Labs, Radiology Labs, NASA clean rooms for satellites, Aircraft Hangars, and facilities for Jets such as the T38 Talon, Training facilities, and Justice Work
Persuaded Elfs Paris, French construction subsidiary Constructa Societe de Services Immonbiliers to allow Laufen to take over marketing and construction of 8 Multi Family Condominiums and 438 townhomes. Besides constructing them Heath created the marketing and sales plan which sold all units in 2.5 years. Valuation $45 million sold
Leadership promoting futuristic construction methodology placed Laufen ahead of other companies in complex restoration and new construction where strength applications were needed. Pressure grouting. Auger cast Pilings. Foundation Pinning, Frangible wall implementation, Shear wall development. Implementation of space age materials in construction. Epoxy studs and use of FRP in historical rehabilitation. Use of structural thru bolts, strong ties, Hilti fastenings, 56ksi steel, high design concrete to 15k psi, air entrained concrete, coffered slabs, hollow core slabs, and structural envelope designs all utilized.
Founded Pineapple Development, Inc under Laufen for land acquisition Valuation $200 million sold
Founded Miles of Design, Inc. and oversaw the design of coastal structures withstanding 145 mph of constant wind energy.
Genco Building, Inc. Vice President 1994-2000
Bid preparation, presentation, and sales. Obtained and oversaw bonding activities from Bid Bonds to Performance Bonds. Responsible for contract negotiations and all business development. Managed 40-75 employees. Established safety programs, employee handbooks, performance guidelines, oversaw daily construction, subcontractor negotiations and materials purchasing, set up accounting software and scheduling (ms project) procedures.
Constructed various light commercial and industrial projects exceeding $25 million sold.

Management of an all-Japanese staff procuring materials, scheduling, engineering, project management, full construction/erection and sales of condominiums exclusively to Japanese clients.
