GORDON HOMES, Boca Raton, FL 2005 - 2006
Vice-President of Construction
Participated in the creation, development and construction of multi-million dollar opulent estates and upscale communities in the South Florida area.
Negotiated, contracted and supervised the land development of Azura, a 92 unit subdivision in Boca Raton, FL.
Designed and set in place a computerized scheduling system that drove both outside vendors as well as the in house purchasing department towards the timely delivery of labor and materials on site.

Directed the construction activities of the 650 unit/year Treasure Coast Division of Mercedes Homes.
Achieved the coveted Division of the Year Award.
Implemented a web based construction scheduling system for employees and vendors. Achieved Buy In from both groups to make the project a success.

Coordinated the design and development of the initial multi-story condominium offering by Mercedes Homes.

ORIOLE HOMES CORP., Boca Raton, FL 1985 - 2002

Provided the construction management expertise for projects which included town homes, multi-family housing, luxury mid-rise condominiums and single-family homes. Over 1,000,000 sq. ft. of subdivision amenities were also constructed.
Reduced overall structural costs by 7% and improved quality by introducing a structural system for multistory buildings that required little initial capital outlay and was easily understood by subcontractors all without increasing overall construction time.
Virtually eliminated condominium lawsuits, which had been averaging $3,000 per unit in settlement costs, and reduced the average warranty settlement cost to $150 per unit. This was accomplished by developing quality and education programs for Project Managers and implementing comprehensive inspection procedures.
Developed Home Buyers Guide that set quality standards and managed customer expectations, resulting in two or less items for correction in 75% of homes on initial walkthrough.
Created compensation system that rewarded individuals for achieving production and unit quality goals.
