1.The Pierre, New York- $ 100 Million -Director of Projects Aug 2006-Till date.

Coordination with Designers, Consultants and Project Management, Construction Managers, Budgeting, Scheduling, Contracts award, Procurement, Scheduling, Monitoring, Close Out. The Project had challenges of asbestos, mold remediation etc. The entire procurement of FFE was done by the me.

2.Corporate Office, Mumbai-Head(Commercials)- Jan-Jul2006

Appointment of Consultants, Tendering and awarding of contracts, Procurement for the entire renovation and new build projects

3.Taj GVK, Chennai (Partial )-Rs 1000 Million-Jan-Dec2005

Coordination with designers consultants, contract awards, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, Day to day management of project, construction management. Involved intitally for construction.


4.Renovation of 3 restaurants (Hip Asia ,Distil Bar ,Verandah Coffee Shop) at Taj Connemara, Chennai- Rs 50 Million-June 2004-Dec 2005

Coordination with designers consultants, contract management awards, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, Day to day management of project, construction management. Completed all projects in time and within the cost. The project was completed in time and cost.

5.Hangar for Taj Air at Airport, Mumbai-Rs 80 Million- Jan 2004-Jun-2007

This was a challenging assignment, different from a typical hotel renovation, working on aircraft hangar.

Coordination with designers consultants, Project Management consultant, Contract management awards, procurement, budgeting, scheduling, Day to day management of project, construction management. Completed projects in time and within the cost.

6.Banquet Hall Taj President, Mumbai and Coordinating with V.P-Projects office Jan 2003-Dec 2003 Rs 50 million

Responsibility also included coordinating with the Head of Projects on various renovation works with status update, design consultants etc.

JOB PROFILE:

Managing the ongoing renovation works and New Built works for the Taj Group of Hotels. The responsibilities include:

Responsible for the co-ordination superintendence, supervision and control of the execution and completion of the Works including but not limited to civil, interiors and MEP.

Providing specialized knowledge, experience, and the abilities relating to the management, administration and execution of the Works.

Reviewing and advising on the Drawings and Specifications prepared by the Designers for the execution of the works, including but not limited to safety and cost effectiveness and cost efficiency.

Estimation and budgeting the overall cost of the Works and planning and advising measures to contain the costs within the Budget,

Preparation and finalization of the Control Budget and the Control Time Schedule

Ensuring that the execution of the Works shall be commenced and completed expeditiously within the Control-Budget and Control Time Schedule.

Developing strategy for the scope of various tender packages and working out a detailed Gantt chart incorporating all activities and milestones for each of the areas.

Advising and assisting and finalizing the tender documents.

Negotiation and execution of contracts with successful bidders/ Contractors for carrying out, executing and completing the Works.

Providing necessary clarifications on the Drawings and Specifications as may be required by the Contractors from time to time for the execution of the Works ;

Ensure the contractors observe all norms towards adequacy, stability and safety of all operations and methods of construction adopted at the area of Works.

Ensuring the execution and completion of the Works in accordance with the Drawings and Specifications

Ensuring that the Works shall on completion, be of the highest quality standards comparable to the best five star hotels in the world and conform to the design intent.

Recommending and advising on the cost and time implications of changes in Drawings and Specifications to enable the Company to decide on the most feasible method of execution of the Works.Co-ordinating with the contractors /suppliers /vendors for expediting supply of goods by them.

Review the drawings of the MEP consultants at the concept stage to bring in the benefit of its knowledge and expertise to examine advice and comment on inter alia the planning of facilities and technical parameters on low end, the control methodology, and the basic details on routing.

The other responsibilities includes
