In addition my responsibilities included plant start-up and plant performance test runs as required. Mentored subordinates when required. Collaborated with maintenance department to overcome problems during production.
DTE Biomass Energy, Ann Arbor Michigan Project Manager, 2006 2007 Responsible for all project related to DTE Biomass that involved controls, including on-line analyzers, PLCs, (ladder logic) and flow meters. This included developing and installing a solar powered (BP panels) and a SCADA system for data collection using an embedded processor. Analyzed monthly reports for all sites along with total gas usage and gas production reports. Developed new wireless remote solar powered gas meter station for metering gas off of landfills.

Developed product scope for Dow, created an intrinsically safe portable SCADA device Supervised all advanced technology efforts from concept to launch. Further developed wireless sensor technology using 400 MHz, 900 MHz, and 2.4 GHz (802.11) technology.
Lomac LLC, Muskegon Michigan Process Control Manager, 1995-2001 Promoted from Project Manager to I&C Manager and Engineering Manager Directed process improvement, environmental, and safety projects including automated phase cuts, centrifuges, filtration, catalyst reactors, and emissions control projects. Developed P&IDs and developed ladder logic after writing process descriptions, PFDs and doing a material/energy balance. Installed and started-up operation using Delta V DCS system. Designed and started-up with validation of hormone replacement process.

Designed experiments including crystallization operations, enzyme catalyzed organic reactions, and other related to new drug development.
