EXPERIENCE

David is a highly experienced Architect, Design Director with 30 years international experience

in the design and documentation of major projects throughout Australia, South East Asia,

United Kingdom and in the past 7 years, the Middle East.

 

These have included high rise apartments, retail, hotels and commercial offices in Melbourne,

Ho Chi Minh City, Bangkok, Sydney, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

 

In addition, David has completed retail projects in London and Kuwait, medium rise cluster housing

and offices in Darwin and a major hospital in Brisbane.

Experience  includes project initiation, concept design and planning, master planning, project management

and delivery, office management, division manager and business development.

 

David is currently Design Director for UCC / KCT Doha managing the design and documentation of a major retail development in Qatar This includes mixed use hotel, residential community and tourist developments

Previous engagements included Client PM for the Al Shamsi Group developing a commercial office in Dubai

In 2009 he was engaged with PACE Consultants in Kuwait leading the project Team on the U$1 Bill Phases III The Avenues, a retail hotel and mixed use development in Kuwait City.

 

Previously he was Architect  Division Manager for Meinhardt Consultants in Dubai, UAE.

Projects undertaken include 12 apartment towers at Sama Dubai Lagoons, a boutique hotel on Island 51

The World and a hotel commercial mixed use development, Island City at Abu Dhabi.

 

For the previous 8 years David was Senior Design Manager for Mirvac Property Group in Melbourne

He was responsible for the delivery of several major mixed use apartment projects.

These included the 40 storey Yarra’s Edge Tower 5 and The Melburnian multi tower development.

Both projects won Australia wide RAIA and UDIA awards of excellence.

 

The previous 4 years he was an Associate with Woods Bagot in Darwin, Bangkok and Brisbane.

Employed as Design Architect / Director including the serviced apartments and mixed use development in

Ho Chi Minh City and Ipswitch Hospital, Queensland

This followed  Project Architect roles with leading practices in Sydney and London working on 5 star
