Moved into the Fort Myers office to expand/revamp the private/commercial estimating division which covered between Naples and Tampa. Established procedures and Excel spreadsheets to expedite bid proposals. Entered all data in Bidtek estimating system. Did takeoffs, called suppliers and submitted proposals. Downloaded and processed Dodge reports daily to area estimators. Moved into governmental estimating at main office near Port Charlotte while still overseeing the private/commercial bidding. Able to procure numerous contracts based upon thorough review of plans/specs and communication with owners, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors. Used Bidtek accounting system to track projects and make updates. Moved back to Fort Myers office when project became available near home. Successfully completed the Santa Barbara Blvd to Chiquita Pkwy section of Veterans Parkway. When project completed, moved back into office to oversee in-house procedures of the area manager position while the company was looking for a new area manager. When new manager was hired, worked with him to allow smooth transition.
